MAINTENANCE WORKER

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable and caring individual who will share our passion to deliver five star service in a care facility. This would be a full time position and required to work one weekend a month.

Requirements for the role:

– Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role.

– Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks such as painting, decorating, gardening etc

– Willingness to complete all necessary training including health and safety.

– 2 satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.

Care Assistant - Meadowcroft

• This position will not be based in Mistley Manor, but at our Sister home, Meadowcroft.
• To help in developing and maintaining a warm, caring homely environment that aims to meet the individual needs of residents, as well as providing the opportunity for residents to achieve maximum independence.

• Have due regard for the rights of residents as individuals to privacy, freedom of choice and opportunity for personal expression.

• To assist the Senior Care Officer in offering and supporting residents of the home in their personal care needs, social needs, leisure/recreational needs and spiritual needs.
• To promote and comply within the standards of conduct and practice set out by the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers that describe the standards of professional conduct and practice required of the Care Assistant as they go about their daily work.

Care Assistant

• To help in developing and maintaining a warm, caring homely environment that aims to meet the individual needs of residents, as well as providing the opportunity for residents to achieve maximum independence.

• Have due regard for the rights of residents as individuals to privacy, freedom of choice and opportunity for personal expression.

• To assist the Senior Care Officer in offering and supporting residents of the home in their personal care needs, social needs, leisure/recreational needs and spiritual needs.

• Participate in maintaining effective individual care plans with service users (where possible) and the care team.

• To promote and comply within the standards of conduct and practice set out by the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers that describe the standards of professional conduct and practice required of the Care Assistant as they go about their daily work.

Bar / Waiting Staff

• Duties will include all stages of the stocking and preparation of bar products and beverages supplied from the kitchen and bar.
• Serving meals and snacks, including consulting clients regarding menu choices each day. Transporting and serving of meals to all parts of Mistley Manor including the Bungalows if required.
• General kitchen and dining room duties (for example, washing up and clearing away equipment and tables); cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds and equipment.
• Take an active part in menu preparation and consulting with the service users of the home.

• Control of the electronic bar till including daily reconciliation of bar stock against bar proceeds. Charging of clients and visitors for bar and food from the bar menu and informing reception of those charges.

Care Assistant - Night Staff

• To Provide waking night duty cover in the Home. To help in developing and maintaining a warm, caring homely environment that aims to meet the individual needs of residents, as well as providing the opportunity for residents to achieve maximum independence.
• Have due regard for the rights of residents as individuals to privacy, freedom of choice and opportunity for personal expression.
• To assist the Senior Care Officer in undertaking certain domestic duties, as instructed, which can be performed during the night hours.
• Participate in maintaining effective individual care plans.
• To promote and comply within the standards of conduct and practice set out by the Code of Practice for social Care Workers that describe the standards of professional conduct and practice required of the Care Assistant as they go about their daily work.
