The following procedures will be implemented by Mistley Manor depending on which Tier stage the Government places Essex in.
As explained in last week’s letter, we understand the importance to everyone to try to continue to facilitate visitation. However, we will not compromise the safety of your loved ones and our staff should our dynamic risk assessment and advice from Government bodies show visitation is no longer safe.
We strongly advise families and friends to use the on-line methods of communication wherever possible.
The Governments current Three Tier Approach is as follows:
Medium Local COVID Alert
One family member will be able to visit for one hour, this will need to be booked on Mistley Manors website prior to the visit taking place. There will not be a restriction on the amount of different family members that will be able to book visits. This means multiple relatives and friends can visit on different occasions.
High Local COVID Alert
Government advice is that for local areas with a high local COVID alert level (high risk or very high risk), visiting should be limited to exceptional circumstances only, such as end of life. However, Mistley Manor feels very confident that the policies and procedures in place around visitation are strong enough to enable visits to still go ahead on the following basis.
Visitation will be restricting to ONE family member per service user.
We understand that this may be difficult for relatives to pick which family member will be the nominated visitor, but you will appreciate this minimises the risk to your loved ones and staff whilst we are in this ‘High COVID Alert’ level. If you could please notify Mistley Manor of the name and contact details of the nominated individual at your earliest convenience it would be appreciated.
Very High Local COVID Alert
Visitation will be limited to exceptional circumstances only, such as end of life.
